Detect, verify, notify, respond
Every incident follows the same four steps, so the team always knows what the system has done and what is waiting for them.
Detect
Sensors read continuously. AI compares each reading with a 60-minute rolling baseline and flags anything outside ±3σ.
Verify
A second sensor in the zone must agree before automatic action, cutting false alarms from dust, steam or a single faulty head.
Notify
The shift in-charge and EHS head get a phone alert with zone, reading and trend, not just a siren.
Respond
Stop, cut or alarm through PLC or relay outputs with hard-wired interlocks, per your rules.
Every zone, one glance
Each zone shows its current reading and a state: normal, watch, warning or critical. The strip below follows an incident through the four response steps, and the log records each event with its time.
Act on the trend, not the alarm
The system projects the last 30 minutes forward over a four-hour horizon, with a range band. If a reading is heading for a warning line, you can act within the time you choose, before the alarm.
- Projection range shows how confident the forecast is
- Recommendations learn from 7-day patterns and operator feedback
- Event patterns over the last 7 days reveal repeat trouble spots
- Sensor history shows every reading outside its normal band
Stop · Cut · Alarm, per your response rules
You decide what the system may do on its own and what needs an operator. Each rule has a mode, a delay with a cancel countdown, and an optional two-sensor confirmation.
| Rule | Applies to | Trigger | Action | Mode | Delay (s) | 2-sensor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Smoke rising, 2 sensors | Paint shop | Obscuration > 12%/m | Stop line · exhaust on | Automatic | 30 | Yes |
| Panel over-temperature | Panel room | > 65 °C for 2 min | Cut feeder | Ask operator | 60 | Yes |
| Gas above 20% LEL | Tank farm | > 20% LEL | Siren · isolate valve | Automatic | 10 | Yes |
| Heat rising | Data centre | Rate of rise > 8 °C/min | Alarm only | Notify only | 0 | Yes |
| Fire pump not ready | Pump house | Pressure < set | Alert maintenance | Notify only | 0 | No |
Sample rules. Automatic runs after the delay and can be cancelled during the countdown. Data centre zones never cut power automatically.
Sensors that cover the usual causes of industrial fires
Smoke & heat
Optical smoke, heat and rate-of-rise detection in storage, production and panel rooms.
Gas & vapour
LEL and VOC monitoring at tank farms, unloading bays and solvent areas.
Electrical hot spots
Panel and busbar temperature, overload and leakage current, the most common ignition source.
Safety readiness
Fire pump status, header pressure and fire-water tank levels, so you know the system is ready.
Audit trail
Who acknowledged and resolved each issue, and when, ready for insurers and inspectors.
Independent by design
A monitoring layer on top of certified systems. Alarm, evacuation and suppression keep working on their own.
